West End Indiana Bancshares Inc was incorporated in the State of Maryland in June 2011. It is a savings and loan holding company for West End Bank, S.B. Its business consists of attracting retail deposits from the general public in its market area and investing those deposits, together with funds generated from operations. It also provides loans in one- to four-family residential real estate loans, indirect automobile loans, commercial and multi-family real estate loans and also engaged in second mortgages and equity lines of credit, construction loans and commercial business loans. It also purchases investment securities consisting primarily of securities issued by United States Government agencies and government-sponsored entities and mortgage-backed securities. The Company conduct business through its main office located in Richmond, Indiana, its three additional branch offices in Richmond, Hagerstown and Liberty, Indiana and seven additional limited service branches located within all Richmond Community School’s elementary schools and a high school in Richmond, Indiana at which it offer more limited banking services. It provides banking seminars to students who assist in the branch operations. The company is subject to federal regulation and supervision by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and to state regulation and supervision by the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions.
