The Bank is a member of the Federal Reserve System, and its deposits are insured up to the maximum provided by law by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The Company operates mainly through the Bank and its other subsidiaries providing banking, trust, financial and brokerage services to corporate, institutional and individual customers throughout northeast Ohio. The Bank provides retail and commercial banking services to its customers, including checking and savings accounts, time deposits, IRAs, safe deposit facilities, personal loans, commercial loans, real estate mortgage loans, installment loans, night depository facilities, brokerage and trust services. It provides residential real estate, commercial real estate, consumer and commercial loans to customers located mainly in Holmes, Tuscarawas and portions of surrounding counties in Ohio. In its market area, the Bank competes for new deposit dollars and loans with several other commercial banks, both large regional banks and smaller community banks, as well as savings and loan associations, credit unions, finance companies, insurance companies, brokerage firms and investment companies.
