Electronic Payment Processing includes Marketing third party credit card processing and check approval services to the small- and medium-sized business market under the name of Newtek Merchant Solutions; In Managed Technology Solutions through its subsidiary- CrystalTech Web Hosting, Inc., d/b/a/ Newtek Technology Services (NTS), It offers shared and dedicated web hosting, data storage and backup services, cloud computing plan and related services to the small- and medium-sized business market; Small Business Finance comprised of Newtek Small Business Finance, Inc. a nationally licensed, SBA lender that originates, sells and services loans to qualifying small businesses, which are partially guaranteed by the SBA, and CDS Business Services, Inc. d/b/a Newtek Business Credit, which provides receivable financing and management services. Its Electronic payment processing segment competes with entities including Heartland Payment Systems, First National Bank of Omaha and Paymentech, L.P. Its Web hosting segment competes with 1&1, Hosting.com, Discount ASP, Maxum ASP, GoDaddy, Yahoo!, BlueHost, iPowerWeb and Microsoft Live among others. Its Small Business Finance segment competes with regional and national banks and non-bank lenders. Intuit is bundling electronic payment processing, web hosting and payroll services similar to its in offerings that compete in the same small- to midsize-business market. Newtek’s electronic payment processing, lending, insurance, and Capco operations are subject to regulation by federal, state and professional governing bodies.
